A Snapshot

I grew up the second of three to a nurse and a (now retired) United Methodist minister. After I graduated from a high school nestled in the cornfields of northwest Ohio, I enrolled at Indiana Wesleyan University. There, I played four years of varsity soccer and graduated with a degree in Biblical Literature and Criminal Justice. After IWU, I matriculated at Asbury Theological Seminary where I received a Master of Arts and Doctor of Philosophy in Biblical Studies. 

I currently serve as an Associate Professor of Old Testament and Inductive Biblical Studies at Asbury Theological Seminary in Wilmore, KY. My area of research is Old Testament Studies, broadly defined, but I focus upon the language, history, and culture of the Old Testament.
